Second Round of Playoffs go to Buzzer
By Bi Yu posted 5/10/15

LeBron James game winnerThe Second Round of the NBA Playoffs have had thrilling endings over this weekend. There was a buzzer beating shot each of the past three days.

On Friday night it was the heroics of Derrick Rose who banked home a three to grant the Chicago Bulls a 2-1 series lead over the Chicago Bulls. Saturday it was veteran Paul Pierce who used the backboard for a game winning walk-off jumper to give the Washington Wizards a 2-1 lead over the #1 seed Atlanta.

Sunday it was LeBron James' turn to hoist a game-winning buzzer beater to take back homecourt advantage with a Cavs 86-84 win. With Cleveland tying the series 2-2 they are the only higher seed not in a deficit.

Not only were games decided in the last seconds, but three of the lower seeds are ahead of their opponent. Five seed Memphis Grizzlies went up 2-1 over the NBA top seeded Golden State Warriors. Memphis has won their last two games decisively by 7 and 10 points respectively. The Grzzlies have a chance to go up 3-1 and put the Warriors on their heels, if they can win another home game.

The other Western conference match up has the 3-seed Los Angeles Clippers controling the series 3-1 over the #2 seeded Houston Rockets. The Clippers have looks like the toughest out so far as they beat up the defending champion Spurs in 7 games in the first round. Even with Chris Paul missing two games in the Rockets series they have dominated in all facets as Coach Doc Rivers has unvieled a bench that can compete with anyone.
